The 2027 HCNMC will take place at the Hotel Alpenrock, a Hilton Curio Collection Hotel in Breckenridge, CO.

You will receive a confirmation email from the Hotel once the reservation is confirmed. Guests are responsible for their own reservations and High Country is not responsible if a duplicate reservation is made. If you do not receive a confirmation email please notify the Hotel immediately as your reservation may not have gone through.
Please note the $45 daily resort fee is waived if you book within the High Country Nuclear Medicine Conference group booking link above.
Hotel Winter Cancellation Policy: One Night room & tax are due at time of booking, with balance due 21 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made up to 31 days prior to arrival will be refunded. All deposits are non-refundable for cancelations made within 30 days of arrival. In booking a room you agree to these terms when booking through the Hotels Reservation Link above.
Group Rate will only be available until Friday, January 22, 2027 unless the block has been filled prior to this date.

Acute Mountain Sickness:
Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) is the most common form of illness associated with a rapid ascent to altitudes exceeding 7,000-8,000 feet. Symptoms include shortness of breath with mild exertion, headache, lassitude, loss of appetite, insomnia and even nausea and vomiting. AMS typically resolves spontaneously in 2 – 4 days; headache can be treated with aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen. Good hydration coupled with avoidance of alcohol and strenuous exercise for 1 – 2 days after arriving at high elevation will minimize the risk of developing AMS. AMS can also be prevented by Diamox (acetazolamide) 125 mg twice a day beginning 24 hours before ascent and continuing for 2 – 3 days after arrival at the higher elevation. Diamox is a prescription drug; it is a diuretic, will cause increased urination and may cause numbness or tingling in the fingers, toes or around the mouth. Diamox is contraindicated in those allergic to sulfa drugs. Please consult with your physician for more information.
